Couple of Lotii owners @ work have recommended a local-ish bodyshop who have done work on their various Elise, etc.

Going to visit this coming Saturday.

Anything I should be asking to ensure they know what they are doing when it comes to painting fibreglass.

On 'Vix' various bits of paint have cracked and are falling off, exposing the white fibreglass (well I presume that is what it is....) underneath and I want a good, long-lasting fix.  Vix will be garaged this coming winter too....

Not far from said bodyshop is a wheel refurb place who are very reasonably priced and their work looks good, so will hopefully get that done around the same time.

Europa Blue but with gunmetal wheels work do you think???

I'm not sure stuff like that needs a full respray, I bet a decent "chips away" chaps could make it look pretty damned good for hundreds (instead of thousands for a respray). Worth considering maybe?

Agreed.  Because of the angle change at the top, you'd not see any shading differences.  I reckon £150 (instead of 2k-3k for respray) to sort that out with any local bodyshop (or chipsaway).

Thanks chaps.

Visit to the bodyshop planned for Saturday.

Now to the wheels.....they could be doing with a freshen-up, so what colour to go with the Europa Blue?

Keep them silver but with some added 'sparkle'?  Gunmetal?

Thanks.

Who is it you are thinking of going to Scott?

For wheels, I had grey / anthracite colour on my previous Europa Blue car, and they look good..

Ross,

Castlepark Autobody in Ellon plus NE Autobody in Aberdeen have come recommended.

Rim Tech out near Ellon apparently do a v good job of the wheels.

Think I went to castlepark a few years ago for a quote for a front end respray (just stone chipped mostly) and a small fibreglass repair at the rear. Was around £1200 if I remember.. Being red wouldn't have helped..
