Just about recovered from the Highland Hoon 2018. My first hoon, and what an weekend!

Fantastic weather, incredible roads - and brilliant people. Combine it all together, and wow.

Anybody that's thought about it, and not done it yet - i'd highly recommend it.

Thanks to all the seasoned regulars for making us new boys so welcome!

Roll on 2019! Are we there yet?

I would love to attend this but the thought of driving it from down here all the way up there. No chance. Looks superb though.

It's really not too bad - Me and Jamie drove from Norwich which was around 400 or so miles. Jacob came from Portsmouth  too. Plenty of places to meet / take a break en route too.

It's really not that bad, I've done it I think 5 times now, gave it a miss this year due to other commitments. I will be going again next year, providing it's not over the 4th & 5th or 11th & 12th (which thinking about it, it normally is...)

It's usually failry broken down with meeting up with other VX'ers and we usually have multiple stops for breakfast/lunch etc. (Hoon Café, Wolfies breakfast café (if he was in the country) and then just stops at services).

It's certainly not as bad as what everyone thinks and the journey flies by!

Exactly - Plus knowing you're on your way to meet up with a group of other VX enthusiasts and drive some incredible roads means it all worth it too.

Wear a horse's head and smoke a cigar?  Doesn't surprise me.

Point taken, nice weather on the journey no doubt helps. Some strategic padding in the cabin and earplugs needed :) Much better doing a long stint in convoy too. I'm in Basingstoke so not quite as far as Portsmouth.
