About 8 years ago my wife wanted a VX  as a daily drive and @ 5.5k it was on our limit but wasnt practical so she ended up with a SLK

anyway many cars later from Evos to legnums to 4x4's both on road and racers etc etc and our bank balance a bit healthier we are back revisiting and much looking on loads of diff media outlets and many questions we ended up with a 2.2 SC an ex forum car on here of Harry we love it and got a shed load of history with it plus lots spent too

so mods before we bought it (from ebay ad)

Supercharged conversion
DUTCH software
GAZ coilovers
Alloy radiator
Rear diffuser
Rear spoiler
Upgraded throttle body
Cossie RS500 cone air filter
Heater upgrade (actually blows hot air)
Spray bar windscreen wiper
Upgraded HID lights
Speaker upgrade

plus receipts from recent servicing and repairs like around 1.5k worth within last 4 months

so the plan is this

needs new engine mounts but that is underway 1 has been changed recently but going to redo them all

new front tyres

new exhaust as its blowing looking at options

its booked in to the local detailer to have paint work corrected and restored to as best as he can get

then over the winter

wheels refurbed

seats, door cards and maybe dash and surround re-trimmed with black leather and red stitching

ive had some great advice off a few guys on here who will hopefully be doing some mods on it for me also plus ive already met up with Ivor who is very local to me who also gave me some pointers before i purchased

so thats it for now pics and updates to follow as and when they happen any advice welcome with open arms

Nobby

Looks lovely.
The engine mounts are a bit flakey, I've fitted vibratechnics ones to my vx's as they're meant to last and reduce movement, does however increase vibrations a touch. It's not much fun replacing them.
You can fit inserts in the lower mounts which reduce movement and should extend the life of the top side mounts.
Enjoy

I was checking this car on eBay and I was wondering why it wasn't sold yet. Looks really good and has some expensive mods. Enjoy it!

Crikey, that cat really did look bad, makes you wonder about other 15 year old cars still on their original.
