Hello guys!Im a proud owner of a green 2.2 vx220 since a couple of months,i love her but she's making me crazy!
I had the p1512 error just two months ago,and after searching on this forum i discovered the lovely "loom of doom" thing...
So i opened the two connectors behind the expansion tank and sprayed them with the contact cleaner spray, and the problem was gone.
Yesterday i had the bad idea of giving a good wash to the vx,and then she wouldnt start anymore...Checked the error list with obd and error P1512 was again there! so i tried again to clean the connectors behind the tank and the throttle body one,but it didnt work.
Also tried to erase the error, but it keeps coming.
Can anyone help me?
(if it can helps,as far as i could see everything was kinda dry, except of the area near the fuses in the front hood...)

1512 has been seen linked to:
- Brown relay in the boot making a bad connection.
- Blue connector behind header tank bad connection (not corosion)
- Broken tamp sensor (which only makes sense on an SC car, as NA don't have these)

ECU connectors could also be wet, especially on an N/A as they'll see water from the engine cover

P1512 Throttle min position not learned
so worth checking the throttle body plug, the ECU plugs, the black plug behind header tank (loom of doom) and the throttle pedal plug
X3 - black plug especially pins 1 - 6
pin 1 = ye (throttle pedal)
pin 2 = gn (throttle pedal)
pin 3 = bu (throttle pedal)
pin 4 = bk (throttle pedal)
pin 5 = wh (throttle pedal)
pin 6 = bn (throttle pedal)

Thinking about this, I had a P1512 issue and the answer was to turn the ignition on and not touch the throttle pedal for 30 seconds before starting (or maybe after, probably do both) after I had a host of faults from dirt in a connector

I had P1512 once - mine was caused by a dodgy connection on relay k18 (brown one in boot as per Smiley's first point).

UPDATE: took down the rear wheel arch and tried again to clean the blue and grey connectors, changed all the fuses, cleaned the relays in the front hood, disconnected the battery for 15 mins and clicked the rearm button,CAR STARTED!!
...but...
i do 10 meters and the car shut down.
This morning i checked again the error list and i saw a huuuuge list of errors (like 10/15),i erased them and tried again, this time there was left only P1516.
I cleaned all the relays in the rear hood and switched the fuel pump relay with the horn one in the front hood,NOW P1516 IS GONE!
Tried again to turn off the car and recheck for errors for like 4/5 times, and it didnt show anymore any error!
Im scared but im gonna trust my vx and take it out for a ride now ahah,i hope everything will be ok!Thanks everyone and sorry for my bad english but im from italy...
