Evening all,

I have had my vx off the road for a while now due to a tragedy within the family, I have gone to start it and it does fire up normally with the use of a battery booster but cuts out due to the alarm kicking in, i'm pretty sure the fob for the alarm imobiliser has been flat for some time, therefore i cannot turn the alarm off when it triggers..... i have replaced the batteries and not left the fob without batteries for more than 30seconds.

Any advice would be really appreciated, do you think the fob needs to be re-coded etc??

Cheers

Henry

The alarm is only an alarm and nothing to do with an immobiliser, that is done separately.
You initially need to charge the vehicle battery and go from there, the alarm siren has a battery back up which is charged via the cars battery. Might just want a good charge up.

Charging the vehicle battery will in turn charge up the alarm siren battery.
