I always try to fill Vix up with any of the higher octane fuels from Shell, BP or Tesco, as these are available fairly close to home or work.

Likely placebo, but always think Vix runs a bit better with these fuels....

When I went SC, I deliberately mapped it using normal fuel as I didn't want it to be an issue running on the lower octane if there wasn't any available. Having said that, I nearly always fill up with the higher octane.

I try to use the High Octane Stuff in my NA. Was using BP but have heard V Power offers better results :) A few people will argue normal unleaded will work just fine with no noted differences to High Octane, but these High Octane fuels apparently contain additives which are good for your engine

Anything I can find it’s a vectra not a Ferrari 😂 I have used all brands and different octane not really noticed any difference but mine is standard

Yes, Vectra and not a highly tuned exotic.

I must be a marketers delight, as 'funcy' diesel goes into the everyday car too.

All fuel comes from the same place, the retailers then add their additives and that's it. Always see on for sale ads that the car has Shell in it but only because its the most expensive, you are paying for the additives, 99 Tesco is the same fuel as 99 Shell, you just get a different additive mix. Does that mean its better? Not much in terms of tests programmes/shows/people have done shown any evidence it is.

Personally, as I don't actually do that many miles in my Z20LET I just stick in higher octane for the sake of a few extra quid. Have no qualms about using BP, Shell or Tesco.
