Have searched for this, but no joy. Has anyone doen this? Where do you find parts / kit etc.

Any recommendations on cleaners?

I use the Auto Glym convertible hood kit, have used it on all soft tops and always does a cracking job. It’s a twin pack of cleaner and waterproofer with a coarse sponge.

You brush the hood with a stiff brush and then hoover loose debris, then wet the hood, spray with cleaner and agitate with the coarse sponge included in the kit. Rinse it off and allow to almost dry before you give it a liberal coating of the waterproofing spray which you need to let fully dry.

That’s it job done, it’s a good kit and because the VX roof is so small one kit will do at least 3 times.

Video of my test with 303 Sealant and Cleaner. Cost about £30 off Amazon so not the cheapest but have to say the cleaner did a great job of quickly lifting the dirt and renewing the fabric, I popped the sealant on last night around 7:30pm and took this video at 10:30am the following day car stored outside so has had about 15 hours to cure in ambient temps.

The cleaner itself is pretty strong, the roof had a sealant on before which created water run off but then when I cleaned it and threw more water on it didnt run at all and just soaked in. So the results you see are purely the 303 product.

Excuse the 'ooooh' as I was really surprised at how well the run off was! The beading was excellent too.
