Hello!!

Anybody has more info about the drawings, scale models,... who was made by the designers, engineers??

I found this website with a lot of info about them, but maybe there are more info. And I would like to see the drawings individually, full size.

Hi Simons,

I believe a lot of these drawings are from the original VX220 book. Not sure if you are aware that there was one made? It’s the one with the red cover. Quite a rare find and treasured by owners these days but a nicely presented book and definitely worth sourcing if you can 👍

Thanks for your info. I didn't know anything about this book...but if you tell me that it's hard to find it and valuable, it will be expensive if you find one. So I think that the web examples are very good 😁

Graham did a good job on history of designers engineers etc. I take it with a lot of info from the book.

Other then that, opel/vauxhall/lotus did a good job into not leaking anything from the design process, and i have never seen anything popup in real life.

Yes mate, it's a nice book! But it didn't sell it to the public...The Vauxhall VX 220 “The Inside Track” limited edition book.

This very limited edition book was given to the first few VX220 owners on release in 2001 and into early 2002 as they waited for their vehicles to be delivered.

To quote the letter from Vauxhall which accompanied the book –

“ As the motoring press has confirmed, the Vauxhall VX220 has become an instant classic. For this reason, we thought it only fitting to celebrate the car’s achievements with an accessory that no classic car should be without – a beautifully designed, special edition book.

“The Inside Track” will give you an insight into the people behind the VX220 and the challenges they set themselves. With many exclusive sketches, photographs, interviews and quotes, it’s a book that VX220 owners are sure to enjoy. “

I saw that video and it's very good and good looking, thanks to share it 😉
