Hello, has anyone tried the thick rubber oil cooler sandwich plate seals that Eliseparts have on their site.  listed as, new product.

Are you meaning as an alternative to the ones Matt Jackson supplies? 

 

I imagine they will be too thick, you'd have to check.  Thicker seals will increase the gaps around the oil filter so you might get non-filtered oil circulating or worse, blockage.

I think you will find these are for the Rover K Series engine in the Elise S1, and other Lotus / K Series models as it says in the ad.  Mat's gaskets and mine are specific to the Z22SE / VX220NA installation.
