Just ordered some new lens whats the best fitment guide?

I'm guessing remove light, cut sealant, clean, squeeze new sealant and fit.

Whats the best sealant?

Thanks in advanced

Butyl tape, 4x3mm or 3x3. Squash it. Also called roofing tape

Make sure you oven it first after you stretch it out on the light unit then clamp it in place.

Is this the stuff you fit then put in the headlight into the oven to make it melt into position?

Butyl tape for the headlight lens, Sikaflex (or similar - Fezzasus posted a link to the correct stuff previously) for the rear light lens (some of us have lost a rear lens using butyl tape only).

They normally pop off if not stretched and heated up before fitting

60C for about 15-20 min I think.
It’s only warm certainly not hot

Just keep an eye on them so you don’t over heat them

I found that a hairdryer worked pretty well with a plastic scraper type thing to carefully slide between the lense and the light cluster. Replaced the nut on the back with a wingnut to make removal easier which was helpful when Tigerseal failed after my first attempt!

It wasn't hard to get the Headlight lens/Cover off as half of it had already come unstuck. I just carefully cut away and the rest with a scalpel. Once removed I cleaned the headlight unit lens. Then I applied Butyl tape to the lens and refitted it. The next step was to leave it in the oven for  mins at 60c. After leaving it to cool for a couple of hours I then sealed the Lens and unit with black silicone. I will leave it over night and re-fit it tomorrow.

A good tip from Cavturbo, which I did 14 odd years ago, was to fit Stainless Steel wing nuts to make removal easy. I did add a bit of Coppercoat as well to stop them seizing.
