Afternoon,

I'm looking for recommendations on an exhaust manifold. I currently have a supercharged Astra G with the intention to swap the engine into a VX in the future.

Having done a little searching for manifolds I only found one manifold from eliseparts that was designed for supercharged VX's.

Has anyone used or using a mani from eliseparts or can someone recommend an alternative?

The car is running at circa 250hp, used primarily for track days and will be looking to increase the power gradually.

Many Thanks,

Shaun

Tullett manifold for the VX220. The 2.5" one fits like a standard mani and good for ~ 300PS, but the big 3" version needs a special system. And is LOUD!

Talk to Batman here for a good deal.

Another vote for the tullet manifold here. I have the full system including a decat silencer. I find the fit of the system not perfect as the cat or decat touch the undertray during acceleration but the manifold is fantastic for the price.

The 2.5" Tullet 4-1 exhaust manifold will fit both cars, so probably your best option

I thought the 3" Tullett would fit both too? Just requires a custom front section because the collector is larger due to the larger header diameter?

The 2.5" will mate up to either cars standard downpipe

The 3" might be a struggle to install into an astra, there is not a huge amount of room between the bulkhead and cylinderhead

Plus the 3" is not really needed unless you are planning to go past 325 bhp

Thanks for the advice Vocky.

I've rebuilt the engine with forged internals for reassurance and to provide the flexibility for increased power. As a 2.5" mani may restrict me in the future it seems more sensible to pay the little extra for the 3" mani subject to it fitting. Plus the front flex is leaking too so need to replace that anyway.

Thanks gertje.

The engine is actually a Saab B207 with Z22SE internals so it has an oil cooler fitted.

Still need to adapt the B207 oil cooler into the VX plumbing. Or adapt the VX oil cooler onto the B207...
