Hello all.

I am thinking of changing the colour of my calipers. The car is Calypso red with black alloys.  I bought it in December and the only bit I don't love are the rather lurid green calipers.  They're not just green but GREEN!  Actually that colour isn't a million miles from what they are.

Thinking red, but the car is red so maybe that's too much.  Yellow work?  What do people have, any suggestions?

I tried to post a pic but don't seem to have any available upload capacity.  Not sure why, rather new here.  Did just include a couple of pics to another post.  Is there a daily limit or something? I better check back to the FAQs perhaps.

Figured out how to link to Imgur, I think.  See what I mean, rather green and not quite to my liking.

At first I thought you'd somehow changed the colour in my photo, but have you got the same wheels?  Copied and pasted the centre of your's onto mine?

Hmmmm maybe red.

Perhaps I should polish up on my photoshopping skills too!

I would go red but both of those pics seem a bit of a rush job and would look far better with the bolts left uncovered and the AP logo sanded back to break it up a bit. More like this -

Copied and pasted the centre of your's onto mine?

Yes, you should be able to recognise my filthy internal rims, pasted on your freshly polished outer rim part.
With Paint.net it's easy, as long as the foto angles are equal. Litterally copy/paste.

I think with yellow, you will achive the same as the green. To much of a contrast.

Either red, black or oem grey isch.

Oooh now that is an idea!  Maybe the alloys too. They're now not quite as shiny as the photo.  That was one I pinched from the website of the garage I bought the car from.

I'm not a fan of all black alloys but I may keep them as they are and see if they grow on me.

I think the comment about yellow was right, same problem as the green.  I don't think I've seen green calipers before, they do stand out.  Got red on another of my cars and do like them but it's a black car so is some nice contrast.

Not quite Jay Leno's garage.  Got three (well, two that can drive and one being restored), the newest is 17 years old, the VX is 18 and the restoration job coming up to 47.  Nothing that is a practical daily.

I'll do some googling or paint.net'ing (are they acceptable adjectives?) for further research.  Most importantly is that the brakes work.  Colour is secondary to that.
