Hi im after a pic of a vxt around the drive shaft heat shield. I think there is an engine earth conection onto the engine block but wanting to see exactly where and how it attaches. Any help would be very much appreciated

Just wanting to see how and where the spade bolts to the engine block (is it the bolt that hold the drive shaft heat shield to the block)

I take another look but I can't see anything down there, too much stuff in the way, mines stage 4, not sure if any additional pipework is obscuring the view

I took another look, can't see anything resembling spade connector or an earth wire/strap, can you send me a picture of where you're looking?

Ill try and grab a pic but basically the loom runs to the starter motor and then on to the alternator but about 3 inch after the starter motor conections a tee runs off with a spade on the end

Hi you would not be able to see from the top. Looking from under the car there should be a bracket fastened to the bottom of the inlet manifold, this holds a small plastic vacume vessel. The bracket also bolts to the bottom of the cylinder block (just above where it meets the upper sump pan) i think the earth bolts to the same bolt i.e the one that holds the bracket to the block

I just had a look and can't see anything from the top either (standard tubby engine)

sorry i sort of meant above the undertray but kind off lower down like under the inlet manifold if its possible to see. The position is just next to where the drive shaft heat shield attaches to the engine block
