No. Long since withdrawn. Think they replaced them with the RR1.

Thanks Techieboy. Only need rears and didn't want to mix tyres so looks like a complete set may be the solution. Will need to do some research into the rr1

No real replacement for the R1R from Toyo unfortunately. R888R is the road legal semislick.

The RR1 is a wet race tyre and the RS1 it's slick counterpart. Not road legal/suitable either one.

The TR1 is probably sorta close, but more of a normal summer road tyre compared to the more sticky R1R's.

The Yokohama AD08R's are probaby closest to what the R1R's were, although the current crop is also somewhat hampered by the latest regulations on rolling resistance (fuel consumption) for road tyres which has meant that the rubber compound is a little harder than before.

Another option would be the Nankang NS-2R these days.

Bye, Arno.

That'll teach me for not looking at what the RR1's were and just assuming given the name, they were a replacement.

As Arno said, the AD08R's are a good all rounder, though many on here swear by Federal 595 RS-R's for bang for buck.

A vote on NS-2Rs here. 180 compound, but only road use for me, so thats fine.
Good water clearance.
