No, the spacers are to stop the extra long bolts touching the hub carrier.

This place has changed, Newbies used to endure this type of sharp reply to learn the pecking order.

You didn't ask silly questions twice for fear of retribution, eventually after learning the ropes you were slowly accepted as a contributor.

The car was in the garage for new tyres and and I thought to have the spacers put on at the same time. I was informed that the bolts that came with the spacers were too long. I was looking for a quick guide as to which bolt to buy from eBay. Just a quick question, not looking for some bloody cheek.

A 'newbie' on here I may be. but I am actually 49 years old and very familiar with these forums (and their pitfalls) since the beginning of the 2000s. I spent many years on the 200SX forum (sxoc) and concurrently the SELOC forum when I had my S1.
I know very well how these forums operate and have always been amazed by the plonkers who get so brave when they haven't met you. I couldn't give a flying f#kc about these so-called pecking orders and rules of engagement (and never have..) which some of you (not all) seem to require in order to make yourselves slightly more important in your own minds.

I can say with all honesty I have never replied to anyone, using this kind of remote medium, in such a cowardly manner.

Neville might indeed sustain a very much 'flatter nose' if he was to attempt to address me like this in person. Which of course he would not, as we all know know whether we be Neville fans or not.

As it happens I am myself a former competitive boxer/Thai boxer and as such have learned in my life to respect everyone and never to underestimate or form preconceived ideas about anyone, whether in terms of their intelligence, worthiness, ability or physicality.

I'm sure most of you on here are old enough and mature enough to realise that if you were to meet me (much like anyone else) the chances are that you would find me to be a decent and personable individual.
Although I am very busy with work these days I would very much like to meet up with other VX owners at some point.

I will probably come across as having two arms two legs, a head and the appearance of a human.

Cheers all 🙂

Mind you this has turned into an amazing thread for something so simple!
