For those thinking about fitting a diff it’s an absolute no brainier if you have the box out...

Zero understeer, massive traction, and makes the car so much easier and more predictable in drift.

I can see zero downsides.... note that I have the vx220 specific Quaife

When the rain came I set myself the challenge to drift the whole of Coppice, few more takes were involved but the best ones are below :)

Good timing for your post. I have just done my last track day this year at Oulton. I got speaking to a lad with a 430hp Good that was going amazing during the train compared to the VX.
He had just had a Quaife did fitted and absolutely traced about it. Telling me that it kept on pulling him round the corners wanting more.
I've been googling about Quaife diffs and glad I came across your positive feedback.

I have a standard F23 box and only use the car for track days.

Which did did you get. Do you know how many how's it is to change ? Or how much ?

I've just fitted a new 1.5 way plated diff, plates wore out on old one but still made a world of difference. Can't wait to try the new one

Good to hear thanks for the reply.
Question though, I thought that these diffs are a for once, non wearing item ?

The quaife one is mechanical, plated lsds like mine have clutch plates so they do wear and have to be rebuilt.

Not posted on here before but I can do it for.you if you want.

I'm CH44.

They are probably one of the easiest boxes to throw a diff in.

Missed that sorry. Given up on introductions, end up having to interact with people then.

Nice drive, what tires do you have?

And camber/ toe settings and spring rates?

Br, Per

NiFor those thinking about fitting a diff it’s an absolute no brainier if you have the box out...

Zero understeer, massive traction, and makes the car so much easier and more predictable in drift.

I can see zero downsides.... note that I have the vx220 specific Quaife

When the rain came I set myself the challenge to drift the whole of Coppice, few more takes were involved but the best ones are below :)

Tyres are Avon ZZR - Shocks are Nitron 46mm Randy Spec 450 front 650 rear.

Geo I haven’t got a clue unfortunately as I have never asked Back on track who look after the car exactly what the settings are...
