After 30 months of ownership I am looking to move my VX220 Turbo on. Purchased from another member on the forum at 45,000 miles, it’s up to 60,000 under my ownership. It’s been my only car and I’ve commuted, travelled and road-tripped it, and loved every minute. But as I only have space for 1 car and a puppy coming soon it’s up for sale.

244bhp (dyno’d most recently Sept 2020)

Mileage 60,000

Coral Blue

Full suspension refurb at MMG under my ownership, because I wanted piece of mind. This included wishbone powder coating, refurb steering rack, new ball joints, powerflex bushings, and the Spitfire upgrade parts.

Spitfire toe links.

Spitfire rear brace.

Nitron Street series adjustable coilovers.

TeamDynamics 1.2 (VXR220 offset 16x7 ET20 & 17X8 ET30 special order) in silver

Charge cooler

Miltek Turbo back exhaust (2.5) with a SC42 back box and sports cat

Yokohama AD08R tyres (205/45 235/40) with plenty of life.

Front / rear poly engine mount inserts.

Refurbished and painted brake calipers (Porsche green)

Braided brake lines

PFC pads

C-Hook discs

RSTuning mapped, done in Leeds on their dyno not a remote flash job

MMG rear diffuser

C20 let fast road clutch

Courtenay sport lightened flywheel

Lotus black windscreen, not painted

Iridium BKR6EIX spark plugs

Scangauge 2

New Bosch battery

Full carpet kit inside !

Most recently October 2020 had full service, cablets, aux belt, water pump, new oil and filter at Thorney. So it is ready to go for a long time.

Mechanically it’s sound. Aesthetically it’s not perfect.

Driver’s side sill cover is cracked. There’s the usual stone chips on the front from any car. There’s a chip on the corner of the clam where it was dropped by the previous owner and I’ve never fussed about getting sorted. There’s some “orange peel” / water osmosis on the rear clam and on the roof. The drivers side seat bolster is a bit worn, and the roof lining is beginning to sag in places. It won’t win any concourse events in its current condition, but it’s been mechanically cared for and driven regularly.

Comes with the hard top, soft top, and CTEK trickle charger.

Asking £14,000

Located in CV9, Warwickshire

I will take you out in it, but I won’t allow 3rd parties to drive the car before the sale.
