HI, Last fall my return spring gave up and today I installed a new one (fun job). When I was down there I noticed it was missing a spring for the brake pedal. I assume one sat there as the holes for a spring are there. My question is therefore, did the turbo come with a brake return spring? Thanks

Can't comment on other cars, but on my n/a version.

The throttle does not have a return spring.

Mine does have a return spring for the brake pedal.

The clutch does not have a return spring

Certainly the bracket on the car is wide enough that it looks like there could, or, should be two springs on it.

No doubt over time, things get removed and lost.

The bracket has three holes (two I assume for the clutch, dont know why and one for the brake).

If you have a turbo and you have nothing else to do, please take a look :)

My clutch spring went and was replaced some years ago but as far as I'm aware there has never been one on the brake pedal, although I can see there's a suitable fixibg hole similatr to the clutch.

Ok, since I have an extra spring, it doesn't hurt that the brake pedal also gets one. Thanks for all the replies!

Yes - but - if you have a spare of anything for the VX don't use it unnecessarily.  if the spring on your brake pedal goes first and then the clutch spring....  I have a spare and I certainly wouldn't use it where it's not needed.

It's a lotus spare that you can buy over the counter for five quid... so not exactly a rarity.

According to the EPC there are both springs on the brake and the clutch pedal.

You can get them easily, yeah. Just bought 2 of them for my car as spares...
