What's the machined slot for on the picture above (far RH pipe). Sorry if obvious. I'm completely new to anything Ecotec or designed for Ecotec. Only every dealt with BMC A-Series before.

There is more parts to it, it is a 4-2-1 system. Long pipes will give the car more torque and a better flow at high rpm.

Great for the NA, sadly the VXT has an integrated turbo so we're stuck with ours.

Well Courtenay are in the process of producing a manifold for the turbo. The intention is to use the hybrid KKK but with larger ports. thumbsup

Forgive my ignorance, But the pipes do a 90 degree upturn directly after the head, then one down after... how can that be better? and would it ACTUALLY fit in there? thumbsup

Headers often have a pretty complicated geometry. It is more the length and diameter that matters. The standard inlet and exhaust are good for an un-tuned car driven for supreme fuel economy. The extreme gains seen on “dudes” race car with a new inlet/outlet combo clearly show that this is an area worth exploring. The only available option Regal 4-1 system is short and stumpy and only has a 4-1 configuration. Also “Vocky” has this one on his Vectra and is very pleased. But will it fit?? Not without sacrificing some of the luggage room, no.

Thanks for explaining that C_P Ive put two 4-2-1 exhaust on two of my previous cars, and have been very impressed with the results..... Ive gotta say the build quality on that isnt great though :(

Can´t see that the big radius bends can cause any problems. What worries me more is that I prolly have to shorten the 2-1 section from 500 mm to 200 mm. And that the subframe is REALLY close to the existing manifold, only 2-3 cm, well maybe 5 cm.

Each primary pipe is 550 mm long and has a 40 mm internal diameter. thumbsup :groupjump: :groupjump:

I´ve sent my throttle body to guy who will port it, hopefully to 62 mm. Haven´t heard from him yet...might be difficult to disassemble the shaft etc. Nuttin new about the Venom intake mani. I hope it will be available soon so I can fit it while the rear clam is off

The TB guy sadly gave up trying to bore the TB. Too complicated, since the shaft was welded at one end and plugged at the other (?).

Having electronic throttle is a pain, so hope the 2.4 throttle body fits OK, but for now just get the throttle body gas flowed, it does improve things. :) Oh and replace the butterfly valve screws with countersunk items at the same time. Will try to get pic of mine on here soon.

Actually, some reports say the Corvette TB fits, but it is 75 mm dia. I will have one arrivin in some time. I´ve already sold it, but perhaps the diameter can be REDUCED to say 65 mm if someone manufactures the appropraite parts?? Porting it? How did u do that, what did u do?
