Sorry I couldnt make it guys........AP Brakes need more road miles to bed the disks in before track work otherwise the testing wouldn't be accurate.......most disappointed. :(

Anyway, what’s going on here Partridge? It appears you really do know Bedford well enough to drive it with your eyes closed!

Compared with a VX, driving the BM is an exercise in sensory deprivation. Think wearing ski boots and thick gloves. I thought we would complete the exercise by closing my eyes as well. thumbsup

great little afternoon seeing as i was let down on a westfield factory tour

VXR really does shift - the 300hp SC Hinda Elise on the straight was pulling away :o , but i reeled them back in on the brakes/bends :P

The Elise was on a cool down lap then, obviously :D

A048s are simply stunning thumbsup The handling was transformed, and I've not even had the geo adjusted to suit :o Nitrons not fitted yet - just waiting for the Plans ARB, then do the geo/ride height/corner weight at the same time.

Foxy, I can save you some cash. After talking chassis dynamics last night, the roll bar is coming off the BM. You can have it for a tenner.

E30 320, steadily becoming Miltek Challenge car. My views on BM's are pretty much confirmed. Bueatiful engineering, but no thrill to drive. Stripped of all weight, it goes moderately well, but the brake feedback is non-existant and the steering wheel a kind of 'optional extra'. Should be better when the suspension goes on thumbsup

Hi Partridge there is a choice for that series of either 318 or 320 isn't there? I think i would have started with the 318, especially the later engined one (M 40). lighter engine, better turn in. 6 cylinder one nicer to drive on rd though. it there much playing with the engine allowed? I heard echos of it costing around 4k plus car. I'd like to join with mine when i get the vx. sounds like a very exciting series (for the money). The brake feedback is dodgy because they insited on a stupid master cylinder. Really big (4x pressure). Racing pads help a little did as Toyo Ts-1sbut really not a lot you can do . Still love em though. James Edit to say: appologies for going off topic again :beat:

Yep, 318 or 320. Spoils were equal but the wise money is all 320 on the longer tracks this year. No engine mods, just filter and exhaust from manifold (thanks to Thorney thumbsup )

Foxy! We both need Nitrons! I told you the inside front was lifting on your motor! Talk about three wheels on my wagon! BTW - Do you know where I could buy a set of 2nd user Nitrons for a VXT?
