Post from Timbo on another thread prompted this- My VX is my only motor :D But I'm having a hell of a time trying to transport the old golf sticks- defo don't go in the boot :o and the only time I tried to get the lot in the passenger seat I had to take the roof off and they ended up scraching the leather seat  The only way I've found is to take the clubs out of the bag and hire a bag from the course. Apart from buying a Mondeo  or giving up golf :( any suggestions how this prob can be overcome??

Can you hire a locker at the club? Most clubs will let you do this for a small fee.

Not a member unfortunately :( Wonder if there is a luggage rack thingy similar to MGF that goes over the boot? Had a search of forum but can't see one mentioned.

I got a luggage rack on the back for me birds luggage. Works fine. i bought it off ebay - there's a company in Germany that makes them. Doesn't look that bad either (doesn't look as good but practical). I don't have the ebay address - do a search for luggage rack - you might find it...

A full set of irons will go in a VX boot but only if you put the club ends in first on the left hand side (as there seems to be a bit of extra space here) and bag on top. No chance with woods though, these have to go in the passenger seat :P

Take them out of the bag and they'll fit into the boot (well they do in a NA). If you have a softish bag this will fit afterwards. The woods take a bit of juggling around but will fit. I also carry mine as the passenger with the trolley in the boot.

Why don't you buy one of these new golf club sets that Tiger Woods has been endorsing that have the carbon fibre telescopic shafts that reduce to 1/3 size. They're supposed to be for people who travel on planes and things a lot but might do the trick thumbsup :D
