has anyone been to or tried this track? its £145 for a full day with open pit so it seems too good to be true... cheers d

Never even heard of it. Can't find it on the internet either. With just a quick look tho'. Tell us more! Bet it's probably very short or something!

might pop down and have a look sometime phoned the guy and it sounds like its only about 15 cars on a day....could be a cheapish vx track day?? d

I found this: Avon Park. Ringwood is near to my in-laws.... hmmm.....

That "Do you use or plan to use the car on track?" question might have to become "Probably" instead of "possibly"

Added: it's a 3.6 mile resurfaced tarmac test track, apparently.

I found this circuit advertised in Circuit Driver magazine a couple of months ago and posted a note here about it. No one seems to have driven it but a couple of reports suggested its really a test track rather than a circuit. Minime spoke to the guys there and was due to pay a visit to check it out. Haven't heard anything since.

When is it? I might well be up for it. 3.6 miles. Sounds god to me.

From what I understand you can book it just about any day Monday-Saturday. I fancy giving it a go but I'd want to pop down and check it out first.

Blimey - I live 10 minutes away from that and never knew it existed!!!! Gonna have to check that out...thanks for the tip. Seems to be a right little motorsport area - karting at Hurn Airport and Matchams Raceway only a couple of miles away

Circuit Driver magazine are doing a write-up on this venue in their August issue. As soon as I get my copy I'll post the info here.

From what I've heard (never even considered going or organising anything there afterwards) it's more like a singletrack road with quite limited runoff in places. Think of it as a B road with nothing coming the other way ! It's been used for Sprints for quite a while and that is really the only way to run it

Just thought I'd drag this one back up to the top for one last time. And it is the last time because Avon Park is no longer available as a track day venue Don't know precise details but some deal has been done involving the MoD which has severely restricted its use, and one of the restrictions is no public access for track day use. Shame
