About £650. Cant quite remember. But it needed a lot of prep. They had it for a week.

Had the front chassis brace from Elise parts fitted for the 1in bar, thats the last time the car was out.

And then had its every other year valuation re-confirmed which is good news.

New addition to the fleet in the background. Absolutely love it:

Such a shame the VX is not standard  (like mine) would be worth millions

More details please James! Is it generally available? How does it fit? Is Geary going to contact those of us who've bought/fitted one or do we just wait for the tub to tear first...?

You have to actually use it for that to happen...

Whaaaatttt. How very dare you. It's only been 3 years this month since I last bothered driving it.

Jo's told me it has to go this year, unless I use it. The National was my chance

Yep it is available.

I'm not sure what EP are doing for people who have bought the ARBs. I saw a few cracked ones and thought i might as well have it.

It bolts across the wishbone mounts against the chassis (its quite neat in that respect) - Not sure what happens when it starts to rust. Quite a small risk in my case...

I'm not totally sure it removes the risk though. Mounting the ARB off the wishbone bolt (which is what new 1in bars do) is probably better.

There is also the small matter of the cost, its about £210 for the brace (which weighs about 5kg) and about 90min fitting IIRC.

No cracks in mine (yet)

Yep, its brilliant, i chose it over the other cars all the time at the moment. In fact we both do, so I'm planning to add another to the fleet.

The chassis cracking seems to be a bit of a hush hush affair. I only know of it from a few facebook threads that have appeared and then disappeared.

Here is one. On this one the ARB is mounted through the wishbone bolt (which is much better). You have to have a new ARB though as the little tabs are in different places. So you can't upgrade an externally mounted one. Mine mounts on those outside bolts.

  Interesting piece...

Never seen that before, but the ARB mounting place is indeed pretty flimsy. (I have the 7/8th bar fitted, found the 1" a bit to much)
