Front ride height is from 165mm to 115mm, rear from 175mm to 125mm. Basically its bloody low but feels as plush as before. Turn in is much quicker, much faster sterring and (in the limited test run so far in wet) no understeer. First track test is next week.they surely look the biz!
how lower is it now?!
are they any lighter than standard combo? (unsprung weight...)
Saves about .5kg per corner. (not weighed old stuff yet).
Truly stunning piece of kit, almost art. Nitron is also the choice for all the racing Elises, Exiges, 340R's etc etc, not to mention Westfields, Ultimas the list is endless.
Guy (owner of Nitron) is coming to the AmD RR day to answer questions.

Ok, I've only done limited testing so far but its actually pretty weird.Surely it must be a wee bit harder?
The brief to Nitron was that I considered the road set to be nigh on perfect and it was the track settings I wanted firmed up (standard is too soft). THus far the immediate feeling you get is that there is roughly 50% less body roll in roundabout/tight corners and 75% less roll in long sweeping corners.
As far as ride is concerned there is a long stretch of wide road (sadly quite policed) with a railway crossing on it. As usual for Railtrack the railway crossing is a tad........er.....rough. I've always been impressed with how the standard VXT took this with quiet efficiency and I expected the Nitron set up to crash and bang when it hit it. However I was pretty amazed to have the same dull thump as I had before.
Its early days in testing yet and I plan to do final set up and a few thousand miles in the next week (have a bit of time to spare at mo ) along with Donington on Thursday so we'll have final set up numbers then.
