Whilst doing the tie rod guide i decided to replace the disks so copied the threads from Steve Crisp and Ricky2772 in to a word document for printing. As quite a few people are asking about upgrading i thought i post them I've converted them into PDF so their easy to view and print, plus the front brake one ended up about 10MB thanks to all the pictures I've also added a bit about removing the disks. Although i have been lazy and just copied the front disk bit for the rears. The front (new link to replace the one below) Attached File  Front_Brake_Pad_and_Disk_Replacement.pdf   308.23KB   1294 downloads

Imnotworthy Quality guide mate. Done the pads before (although I took the caliper off - now I know the easier way!). I've got 4 discs and pads at home waiting to be fitted - I've been tentative to go and actually do it as I didn't know if I had all the right tools and I'd end up making several trips to Halfrauds. Sorted now, just got to wait for a day that the temp rises above 0 degrees. :( poof

Dave If you mean a torque for reattaching the calipers then I couldn't find one on the TIS. I did mine up to just over 45 Nm which felt tight enough.

That's the page refering to the replacement of the pads, there is another page that deals with removing the caliper, clicky, but both only give torques for the wheel bolts.

I had the same problem when I did not save the pdf to the disk, then double click load it.
