Hello there, welcome chinky chinky
Any sports car can attract the attention of yobs/chavs, don't think the colour would make too much difference to that really, suppose it depends on the area that you live :unsure:

Mandarin = B) Imnotworthy

Mandarin + black wheels = B) B) B) Imnotworthy Imnotworthy Imnotworthy Imnotworthy

I used to have one and was gutted when i swapped it for a silver turbo. Local dealer has an 05 Mandarin turbo 3K miles couler matched hard top £19999. Was tempted again but no leather or central locking.

If you don't like the colour, buy it anyway and I'll swap it for a yellow :P

Always available on the turbo, if I'd ordered my VXR in advance, it would've been the colour that I'd have asked for.

First time I saw Mandarin I was iffy but loved it within and hour. I think the VX needs to be a striking hit you in the face colour. Mine's yellow btw :D

I don't like it .. The color is like you left your red car in the sun for 10 years :) When i was buying the vx there was one (Mandarin) and i didn't buy it cause of the color(wanted black). But 1000 people 1000 tastes

PHWOAR! But there's plenty of discussion about the effect of colour on price/speed of sale. My view is that it's a fantastic car to own if you like the colour but it could be a pig to sell as it's not common because it's not popular.

Its my favourite too. Its also a very 'now' colour, there seems to be a lot of sports cars, Lambos, S2000s, TVRs showcasing orange metallic paint. Whether this will still be the case in a couple of years, who knows? I think that if you buy a mandarin, then you might struggle to sell it to a dealer, but on the forum, a lot of the heads would be interested.

When i bought the car in the precious pic the dealer gave it "these are very rare sought after colours. You'll be the only one in scotland" I then traded up for a silver tubbie and he then said " these are very rare not a colour for every one so it will reflect on the trade in price" the tosser!! When scott got his hands on it it did look even more stunning. It has since been sold on and has standard wheels and brakes back on and i now have his AP's.....
