In case anyone was in any doubt:

PHWOAR! But there's plenty of discussion about the effect of colour on price/speed of sale. My view is that it's a fantastic car to own if you like the colour but it could be a pig to sell as it's not common because it's not popular.

It looks great in that pic but a lot of the pics I've seen it just looks like a faded red colour, maybe it's a hard one to photograph?

I wanted one but I was afraid I might not like IRL because it looks very odd in some pics.
So when I found a car 1000 miles from home I went down to see it with a lot of butterflies flying around in my tummy.
I stepped out of the cab at the dealer, saw the colour in sunlight.....
Well, I bought it. B)

Thats great!!! everyone seems to love the orange with black wheels look.. That's exactly what I am going to look at tmrw..! cant wait.. I ask because the future VX (whatever colour) will be parked outside my house on a quiet(ish) road.. Any colour other than Yellow and Mandarin would probly just blend in (can the VX blend in anywhere?).. but the Mandarin would stand out a mile..! Or am I just being stupid.. I love the colour especially with the black wheels and window surround.. I know what chumps are out there.. and I dont want to attract them any more than a 'normal' VX.. MED.

pictures don't do it justice, there's one around my way (tangovx) and it looks great, standard wheels though.

Mines silver and it attracts attention, usually positive. In Orange it must be like driving a Lambo or something, be prepared to get noticed a lot, which for 90% of the time will be a good thing, if you like attention obviously.

Do get the one with blue seats, but don't pay for them. £750 for a retrim in Orange Alcantara.

OK... 50 miles down the road to look at this Mandarin VX and my other halfs saxo starts making a right racket!! Either engine mount, gearbox or a very noisy wheel bearing..... BO11OX!

So we turned back...

So no orange VX on the drive for me.. Shame... :(

If it's still there next weekend we might try again...

Thanks for your ideas/opinions...!!

OK.... Finally we got to see the Mandarin VX in question.. It was beautiful!! and I fell in love.. BUT..... There was a nasty crack in the bodywork at the junction of the inner sill and the b pillar. Just below the VIN sticker, the drivers side was quite bad and it was just visable on the passenger side, the black plastic sill cover has small cracks in it to around the same area..... I guess this is from sombody standing on the sill.??? It is not visable when the door is closed, only when open. It dont think this is structural but what do you guys think??? is it serious or just cosmetic..?? Is it caused by the car twisting due to a major problem with the tub??? im also worried of the problems im going to have in selling it in the future with a crack like that. Any help/advice appreciated!!! MED..
