Just like to say thanks to Steve and Clipping Point. I can wield a spanner, but having a guide like this saved me so much precious time. My clam had been off before and stainless bolts fitted. One captive nut is spinning (in the sill), is there any solution to this?

All attached photos seem to be removed accross the forum. I mentioned it in the new website topic but noone got back to me :( As I needed the photos in the rear clam removal thread. I think the attached photo size limit may have been reduced

Yep, I think it's affecting any images that were linked to and stored in the old Gallery, which has just been replaced. Pretty sure they weren't attachments as the attachments limit was always so small as to almost be a waste of time.

Also interested in this thread, is there anyway of either the pics being re-instated or is the a new clam removal guide for which I have not spotted whilst conducting my search?

I am a newbie and trying to read up all that I can as there are couple of things i want to just tighten up and re-seal and i seem to hit the same roadblock everytime... Old posts where the respective images are no longer available.

This place is great and the wealth of knowledge is top-drawer, but sometimes a little frustrating when guides refer to pictures that are no longer there.

Anyway my 'grump' is over.

Besides, how great are these cars.... Went and drove a £85k Aston Martin and £150k Lamborghini and still felt that the VX was more fun to drive. The two "supercars" were fabulous... but they were like listening to your favourite Band's Album through a stereo rather than standing before the band at a live Gig... Superb quality, but just not as exciting!

- Didn't take wheels off, or wheel arch liners and didnt raise the car in anyway, this seemed fine.
Rob

This possible?

Yes, I removed my front clam without lifting the car, removing the wheels and arch liners (well you undo the liners and just leave them resting on the wheels)
