It's a female?! :o :P

It's been OK, it has done it's job so no complaints whatsoever. I've cleaned the inside and put a 'New car scent' (ah the irony!) magic tree in it too.

looks like i'll be putting a new rad in the corsa over the weekend. i was wondering why the shed had turned itself into a chipfat powered kettle. hope the weather's nice tomorrow

Well after much swearing and skinning of kuckles, I managed to get the gear box off and the clutch has no friction plate left, the release brearing had disintergrated and the end of the fork that moves it has been half chewed away!

Nice Shed TT thumbsup

(no seriously - great cars for doing everyday stuff with :) )

Probably a much more comfy ride than a vx could ever be - almost makes me tempted to get one!

Cheers :D

Comfort was the main reason for buying one of them - no sports car so I might as well go for the other end of the spectrum. Has niceties like dual zone climate control etc...

Edit: the tyres are 45 section as well :o

how much of a piece of sh1t is it acceptable to let your shed turn into before getting rid of it? just been out to clean mine and it is fair to say that it's a cosmetic nightmare. patches of rust all over (including a speckled pattern of stainage all over the bonnet from the rad going), bits of interior trim missing, two holes in the parcel shelf that were once home to some speakers, the list goes on, i'll post up some pics when i get a chance and maybe ask you guys to decide for me... done 152k (11k of that is mine, since last august) and never broken down once though. more than can be said for the vx  but i always forgive it

that's kind of the problem though isn't it JG? seems diesel corsas are about as reliable as they come mechanically, i can't really justify getting rid of it, may just have to let the tinworm do its job

yup. Think i may get another. Once we import the smart cdi. looks like you can pick them up for 2k with 30k km on the clock. She fancies the soft top version. I think we will need a tip trip car. Have you looked into importing yet. doesn't seem to difficult. But i'd like to find a way of getting out of the vat. Do you know if it also applies to second hand vehcules?

bit far down the line tbh mate. current plans involve doing this place up (to be finished this year) and then to buy another with the money i inherited and rent this place. that'll be another doer- upper, so i'll need another shed. don't know if i can justify 3 cars (vx, shed and smart cdi) :(

may have to see what happens with girlfs etc... "but darling, you should definitely get one, they're SO useful
