The picture was taken at Woodlands Horse Trials (I think) near Marlow in Buckinghamshire a few years ago. Hector is a 16hh IDX intermediate eventer who belongs to a friend of mine. He's an old boy, but my friend's team was short a rider on the morning of the event, so we were both persuaded out of retirement for one last blast. I'm happy to say that we kicked considerable buttock and won both the Team and Individual Open competitions on the day .

My horse riding is now restricted to social, domestic and pleasure and I'm currently "between horses" - i.e. don't have the time at the moment to justify keeping one , although bright frosty mornings do make me wonder why I stopped. I'm off to the US in November to visit some trainer friends though, so I'll be able to put in considerable saddle time then. Might even post some pics!

Look forward to meeting Ms Skiddo in the near future too......
