Hi Steve, No, I can't add any more I'm afraid. Looking at the email address though (dan@irmscher.co.uk), it's from a good source! I was tempted, because that's the way I want to go - get a new block and add an upgraded crank-shaft and con-rods (the weakest part of this engine). The engine would then be ready to take the supercharger that I've promised myself! I can't afford it at the moment though. Actually, that's not quite true - my marriage would be strained if I spent more money on the VX this month! Mail him and enjoy! Steve

hi steve! there are a few variants of the 22! i know of the x22nl ( the one that dan has) there is a y22?? and of course the z22se ( part lotus designed used in the vx!) on another note.....REGAL have finished the software on my car! for a naturally aspirated it really does shift! the problem i had found in the past was that at the higher revs 5500+ the car really started to die....even with the extra rpm and what was thought to be enough fuel! this has now been definitely sorted...i took the car out for a quick test and well i am a happy man!......a visit to the brill AMD rolling road setup is now in order to give the car a good test! the regal graphs that have been obtained were only used as a basis of what was happening to the car...so if anyone from amd views the site i hope its ok that i give you a call a setup a test session! re the graphs...the bhp was still climbing at 7500rpm when the limiter cut in! its also very linear too! .........................the torque curve ( me thinks it should be called a line!) showed a variation of approx 10lbft from 2500-7000 with 70% of the 2500-7000 having a variant of 5lbft...... this weekend i may go to santa pod on sunday as it looks as if the car will hit 100 in 3rd!( nearing max bhp and 85-90% max torque) arnu and stefan ( the 2 german guys responcible for the tuning) have told me the next stage is to get revised cams and head! ( as far as i am concerned these are now on order!) on another topic the guy who is having all work down to his vx ( the one with the ms design spoiler) is an ohlin suspenion technician from from performance suspension company! darren if you visit the site say hi! well thats all folks! :groupjump:

Sounds logical. Different fuelling as more air is getting in. Does that mean there are now multiple versions of the map depending on the mods done?
