Definitely report it to the Police with the details of exactly where and when it happened, they will issue a crime ref. no. that you will need for your insurance claim (assuming you are fully comp). Someone hit mine whilst it was parked a while ago… Good luck with the repair.

i am gutted 4 ya , esp after only owning it for 4 days! sure u havent pissed any neighbours off or anything? id definately go down the police/insurance route, id never feel the car feels right if i took it to some bodge mechanics and sprayers, get it done properly as everyone says and make some enquiries where it happened, i know a neighbour of mine was responsible for scratching someones car so his 911 turbo had nails in his tyres for the next 6 months... but thats a diffrent story as u werent parked were u? and if u were in the car why didnt u chase them?

plans motorsport have an excellent repairer who sorted mine after something very similar.

They sorted mine too (but less damage than yours). Give Graham a call. He can sometimes give an initial estimate based on photos.
Do tell the police and do tell your insurance.
Really bad lack and hope you get sorted.

Aaron, if you know the make and model, colour etc. of the offender make sure you let the police know. They may be able to check with insurers or local repairers to see if anything answering to the description is booked in (given the damage inflicted on your car the other car must be quite visibly damaged?) Are you saying the bottom exhaust pipe is bent? Have you had the undertray off to have a look at the rest of the exhaust?

Be warned, most insurance companies have a time limit from accident to reporting - it can invalidate your insurance if you leave it too long :(
