And where exactly was Lotus going when the MX-5 came along? They were making odd FWD Elans... Lotus can be very happy chappies indeed that Mazda kickstarted the roadster market.

Moved from an air conditioned hot hatch with no leaks / rattles / problems with 1.5 years left on the warrenty.
Got my NA about a month ago and............
I now look forward to going to work everyday tbh!
It is a different world. If you are thinking about the change...... do it without hesitation.
I can assume that some folks could be irritated by some of the VX problems.
Not me though but for some:
Problem: sh*t heater
Fix: Wrap up. Sorted!
Problem: bugs / debris on the dash every day.
Fix: Brush em off. Sorted!
Problem: wind / engine Noise / cannot hear the radio
Fix: Love the noise and / or turn radio up / down depending on preference.
Sorted! Or change the exhaust to something more "|Entertaining]"
And that is it as far as my problems go .
Just get one and enjoy it. We only live once and Im glad the VX is now part of my journey. (oooo a profound statement! but ya know what I mean)
