Some of you may remember a while back when i was looking to get some VX luggage bags, well due to a minimum order size this was a no go (needed to buy 400 bags).

However a friend of mine that has some contacts in india suggested that it would be possible to get some leather ones made specifically which would look very smart - and could be designed to be VX like if you see what i mean.

Does anyoone around the suffok area have some official ones so that i can get sizes and measure these up?

and if you would be interested in these please leave a post. I havent got a price on them yet as i will need to get a quote with stitch counts and leather quantity/quality but these shouldnt be stupidly expensive (60 quid for the set max for 2 bags).

I have in mind black leather with silver stitching and buckles/zips. also any suggestions or ideas would be god to hear as well.

I'd definately be interested in a set. Just to be awkward, I'd like the logo in orange please :P Leather sounds good, hard-wearing and relatively waterproof thumbsup

no offence to davemate but what im saying is its a bit geeky walking into say a hotel with a weekend travel bag with vx220 printed on it, i think its as bad as buying a watch just cos it has say a mercedes emblem on the dial, its one of those things u do when your 50 years old and still think its cool to leave the labels on your trainers lol... or am i just being a fussy bastardo? geeky or non-geeky u decide..

I'm so glad you frequent this forum nos. thumbsup without you I would certainly be the most hated person fool on this forum. :) Thankfully with you around, my annoyance value is normally overlooked. :) :)

It just goes to show that no matter how much of an idiot you think you are, there is always someone worse. thumbsup

Tango, why do you constantly follow me around editing my posts? You are the only mod to ever do this, hows about taking that rod out of your ar*e and chilling out a bit? Or has the "power" gone to your head too much???

if this set of bags will fit exactly the boot i'm interested...
just because this is a practical solution to the problem "how big should the bag be to put it in the trunk?"

but if we're talking about 2 leather generic bags with the vx logo on i'm not interested at all, beacuse I can always buy a black bag and put on it the logo I want... and this will be cheaper and quicker...

Bingo

But then, if you got the bags you could get velour track suits with simlar logos to go with them.

if you read my first post i am looking for some original bags that i could measure up so that they fit exactly.
I wasnt going for a chav looking holdall, more like an exectutive type leather bag or two.

I was interested as i can get these bags taylor made to my requirements and thought it would be nice to have some bags that fit properly. As they are being made and i am buying them direct they will be much cheaper than any other leather equivalents and probably of better quality as well.

if you are not interested then that is fine, lots of people have viewed this thread so there must be some interest. I was just trying to be nice as i am going to get some for myself and thought that others may be interested as well.

Davemate, don't let people p*ss on your fire. I think its a good idea, after all if you can come up with something which looks good and utilises maximum space in the boot, you may be on to a winner thumbsup

Last time someone advertised the original VX220 made to measure bags on the sale section they got snapped up pretty quick. So it is worth looking into (as you already know ;) )

Mani

ps- Not everyone has to be "logo'd up" like the knobs :poke:

The original bags seem to sell quite well on eBay etc... so I think you would be able to sell them. Dont't know how many though. You don't have to put a VX220 logo on them !!! IIRC the McLaren F1 came with matching luggage. :)

Not sure why all the negativity after the interest shown in the original thread and the amount of people that already have them
