Just got an OBD reader today to find out what was causing my error light and I'm getting PO141 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit too. Too dark to start checking connectors now, I'll take a look in the morning.

Gotta love .org. I spent a very satisfying hour replacing a secondary lambda sensor this afternoon - the previous one having worked lose and snapped on the road -only to find this exact issue. One quick search and the answer presents itself. The mystery of the spare plug remains, but my eml light is now off. Thanks org!

no mystery about the two plugs;

if you have an early car with the Lotus engine loom then the post cat lambda sensor plugs into the single chassis loom plug.

if you have the later Vauxhall engine loom then the post cat lambda sensor plugs into the engine loom plug and the chassis loom plug is not used or connected.

Easiest method to tell the two looms apart - Vauxhall engine loom has the plastic tray above the injectors and the Lotus loom is wrapped with loom tape instead.
