The only problem I've noticed with having mine live outside is rusting of the screws that attach the petrol cover point to the car. All of them have gradually rusted over a period of a year. Any idea how to prevent this in the future, or what might have caused it (other than rain)?

Yeah mine look like sh*t as well. I posted a question on replacement of the bolts with stainless / anodised alloy bolts a while back, do a search as I was told how to replace them.

Just need to get off my arse and do the job (finding some appropriately coloured anodised bolts first of course)

:)

Test drove a nice blue one with a hard top today. Was fantastic to drive, really got the bug here hehe :) It was pretty mint bar a few chips the guy said he'd touch up, and the front bonnet catch needed reattaching, but that would all be sorted. Another thing though, it had a really loud vibration between sort of 2,500 and 3krpm, really loud and noticeable? Sounded like an exhaust heat shield or something? Is this a common problem or something more sinister? Dan

Don't seem to be able to edit my last post to add this heh. Also, it had a sticker that said 'Storm' just under the VX220 badge on the back - are Storm a tuning company or something, or was this just a random sticker? The previous owner did seem to like stickers, as there was a Brembo sticker on each wing. Dan

I used to collect Italia 1990 stickers (got, need, swappsies)...... wait.... thats not we are talking about  Stickers are for Homo's. Go down the sea front at mine and you will see any stick you want. Best ones are the Blitz (jap tuners) stickers on 1.1 Fiat Puntos. God I love my sea side town....... Back to subject. Will the stickers come off easily?

Yea I googled and found that as well, but the car didn't appear to have a loud exhaust or anything, and they don't mention chipping/remaps on the website. I suppose it would have to be a contact the previous owner thing.

Anyway, felt that one was a little over priced, also it had no leather, so rang the guy back today to let him know I was gonna keep looking elsewhere, and he said they could get it re-trimmed in leather, so maybe it's worth another look... I'd still want £500 off it though heh.

Noble - I'm not sure about the Brembo stickers, but the Storm sticker appeared to be coming off anyway. I'd ask to have them all removed before I collected it to make sure they weren't covering up nasty scratches or anything, and because I didn't like them.

The hunt has to go on hold for a bit shortly though, cos I'm off into hospital for an op in a week, so I can't get one till I get out and finish healing :( So it's gonna be a little while yet, boo.

Not a bad offer to be fair!

Mine doesn't have leather but whilst my car was there Plans have offered a swap for someones leather seats as they are installing race seats. It could always be worth going down that route later on...

Personally i don't like the way leather sags or the fact it sticks to your arse in the summer
