How do I get an Xbox to work.

Its my bros, and Ive never touched it before. The controller doesnt seem to do anything. And I plug it in and it still doesnt seem to do anything.

Yes im probably thick. :beat:

Not being rude, but are there batteries in the conroller?

My MS wheel is off-centre too, but only when I switch it on and in the lobby. In game it loosens its grip and I can just straighten it out and drive perfectly straight. It's a great toy! Wouldn't fancy taking it apart like that bloke did though..

Yeah Ive been shown how to do it now. It need synching to the machine, id have never have just worked it out.

Done a 52.2 after a few laps pretty sure I can get some off that when I can get back on the thing.

If I want to play with my own name online am I going to need a sperate Xbox live account? Seems a waste to have a couple in the same house.

I'd agree with what was written a few posts back, that consistency is the key. Pulling out a hot lap is good, but doing good lap after good lap is more important. Luckily for me I'm pretty fast and consistent! :D

Woo got a half hour on it. 51.488 with all the driver aids turned off. Had a go in the Corvette though, boy is that hard compared to the Maser!

Take it back to the shop?

If you bought it new, read up on "Sale of Goods act", ie does £279 represent good value for 18months gaming? No. Is a life span of 18months unreasonable? Yes.

Your contract is with the retailer and the 1yr warranty doesn't mean much, there are a few people on OcUK forums that have used the SoGA to their advantage and had the retailer replace the console.

Yeah I went off after as I didnt know if I should screen shot it or finish the race and forgot about the bend all together :beat:

Pretty sure I can get a bit off that if someone beats it.

I had to do something this evening to get over the disappointment of no Halo3 Beta :o
