i was just trying to work out my miles per gallon this morning while laid in bed.. (yes i know its early) so i did abit of working out and came to the conclusion.. i dont get many mpg Basically, total miles (200) divided by number of litres you put in (35L full tank) times by how many litres makes a gallon (4.54) 200 / 35 * 4.54 = 25.94 = 26mpg! Miles to a Full Tank 50 = 6mpg (6.48) 60 = 7mpg (7.78) 70 = 9mpg (9.08) 80 = 10mpg (10.37) 90 = 11mpg (11.67) 100 = 13mpg (12.97) 110 = 14mpg (14.26) 120 = 15mpg (15.56) 130 = 17mpg (16.86) 140 = 18mpg (18.16) 150 = 19mpg (19.45) 160 = 20mpg (20.75) 170 = 22mpg (22.05) 180 = 23mpg (23.34) 190 = 24mpg (24.64) 200 = 26mpg (25.94) 210 = 27mpg (27.24) 220 = 28mpg (28.53) 230 = 30mpg (29.83) 240 = 31mpg (31.13) 250 = 32mpg (32.42) 260 = 33mpg (33.72) 270 = 35mpg (35.02 280 = 36mpg (36.32) 290 = 37mpg (37.61) 300 = 39mpg (38.91) 310 = 40mpg (40.21) 320 = 41mpg (41.50) 330 = 42mpg (42.80) 340 = 44mpg (44.10) 350 = 45mpg (45.50) 360 = 46mpg (46.69) 370 = 48mpg (47.99) 380 = 49mpg (49.29) 390 = 50mpg (50.58) 400 = 52mpg (51.88) i hope this is useful for some people :)

Don't think I've ever put 35 litres in a tank in one go though, normally high twenties when I've left it as long as I dare.

I reckon I get around 220 miles out of 30 litres, because thats all I can usually get into the tank and I do tend to fill up when I know I should, rather than find a good petrol station (impossible - they keep knocking them down!) on the way home from work. If I drive to my folks house (45 fun miles away) the range improves. Also driving the fun way up to reading from my place seems to increase the range too. So I get better mpg when I'm caning it through the twisties than when I'm stuck in traffic in the usual commute. And I've just done the calculations - on average I get about 33.3 mpg. Although I have once done farnham to the birmingham NEC and back again and into work the next day on one tank - did 253 miles = approx 35 mpg.

Probably worth mentioning if you have an NA or a Turbo, too. I have an NA and I rarely get more than 160 miles out of a tank, often closer to 150  But then I do generally fill up as soon as it says 'refill'.

Just thought i would mention that you are underestimating this a bit as surely you never run your tank right down, if you fill up when the "refill" comes on a full tank is about 30 litres = 6.7 gallons (approx) meaning you got 29.85 MPG.

I usually work on doing about 6-7 miles per litre on my NA which is about 27 MPG, and that is round town with no decent long runs. Did a Derby to Manchester and back run last weekend, i was quite impressed that i got there and back on a full tank, cos i got lost!! But did 210 miles on 26 lires so got approx 36 MPG on the run, so was well happy.

when i drove down from Cologne to Bratislava when i picked mine up I was filling up every 160 miles to refill and to the top each time...... Scary moments around Vienna when Id forgotten how many miles Id get when the refill light came on and had a 30mile journey panicing and not being able to find a station........ needless to say it was alright on the night..... But driving 1000miles with a 200mile tank is a pain in the arse............ but get the looks every time you stop B)

Cool - it tells you when to fill up

Having just picked up my na this week I was wondering how long before I need to fill it up - probably won't be as frequent as my last car (my best in my RX8 was 22mpg  )

Itll probably be as often but cost less. I have to fill this up as often as my RX7. Its just 25 quid compared to 70 :beat:

I always bank on around 200 miles per tank but haven't checked recently. I did put 33.7 litres in last night which has been the most I've ever put into a VX tank.

I used to get about 32 mpg when i had my na, i do the same route in my tubby and get about 26 mpg.I used regular petrol for a short while with the turbo but run on v-power now, I think it makes a worth while difference but i also think you get les mpg, has anybody else noticed this.Or do you just tend to drive it harder? :D

If you have any interest in mpg then you should not own a VX IMO.
