I have been ringing round a few places and have found a company that would supply the viper for £176 delivered if five units are bought. I'm a bit dubious about getting involved in personally organizing a group buy, but if we all order at the same time the discount should be valid! Any interest? If there is lots we could see if there is the possibility of a larger discount. Thanks George

Sorry, I was asking about one for the NA. I presume that there is one for the turbo, and I would have thought that it would be included in the group buy.

Is there a noticeable differance between the ITG & the Viper? Is the Viper the Carbon fiber one?

I think there were problems with AMM's failing on tubby's with aftermarket air filters.

I've got a viper on my NA; sounds great. thumbsup

It replaces the standard filter/housing and ancilliary pipework,
Best way to fit is to jack the NS of the car up, remove wheel and liner, remove old box (from the throttle body through to the air intake by the NS side grille) and then fasten the new one in place!
It may be possible to fit it through the boot lid alone, without having to jack it up tho
Then enjoy the new sound :)

to be honest its not that hard to do and depending on where you are in the country Im sure someone local could help you thumbsup

Took me abour 30/40 minutes first time around and that was without instructions just guesswork - just a bit fiddly getting the filter casing out and putting the pipe down to the air intake

but it sounds Imnotworthy Imnotworthy Imnotworthy

Any guys with a VSE got a viper too can comment on the sound/earache ratio? its already pretty loud with the exhaust on mine, just not sure if it would be overkill or compliment the setup sounds

Is there a noticeable differance between the ITG & the Viper?

Is the Viper the Carbon fiber one?

 just to clarify, I know it's got less power than the ITG, I just wanted to hear from anyone who had had or driven a VX with both and could comment on the differance.

I have a Piper X on mine at the moment but the foam is split so I either need to get a new filter or a complete replacement.

Maybe the better question would be has anyone had a Piper X and know the differance between them?

Cheers Guys

How would you want that power difference to be quantified? On a dyno, maybe you get 1 or 2 bhp if anything. On the road, it's nothing.

It takes a large power difference for a car to noticeably pull away from another similar car.

O.K so maybe my next question should be should I just change the Foam part to my Piper X (any Ideas on cost?) or should I just change to a Viper (esp if the differance isn't great!)

Either way I think you could count me in for one as I seem to be talking my way into buying one now!!

Wonder what discount we'd get if we got 10 buyers?

Maybe worth a look perhaps?

Dean
