I've been a lifelong Mini nut
-1989 Mini Thirty
-1999 Mini Cooper
-1997 Mini Cooper Sport 5 (85bhp, 5 speed gearbox )
-1979 Mini Clubman with 1.6 Honda VTEC in it, 165bhp
Then I planned to get a sensible car but ended up with this
I'm with you there BA, Minis will ALWAYS look cool
My first car was a mini picadilly 1.0L (sadly no pics), if I hadn't been able to stretch to a Vx I recon I would have got a cooper with sportpack etc, they look amazing! (a million miles from the vx I know but you can't rule your heart with your head - its just not possible)

pugwhizz... it felt good mate, Vtec is really somthing else. Im pretty much stuck between the feel/drive fun factor of the VX and the honda engine, which is unbeatable. If you can get a DC5 its alot less raw people say but the way i could chuck that around on its semi slicks is unbelivable. Id deffinatly go back to a DC5.
cheers sam
Jay
yeah my mate had a DC2 last year. 9000 revs just sends a tingle up your spine.
alot of people say that after a 'normal' car, a DC2 is just too raw.
i think going from a VX would feel like the opposite.
im just thinking that a DC2 would be a slightly cheaper, slightly less raw, more practical, but capable fast car.
there was a guy on the DC2 forum that offered to swap me a milano red one (like yours ) and some money.
only problem is ive not heard a peep from him in 4 weeks and he hasnt posted on the DC2 forum since either.
kinda get the impression he is no longer interested, or no longer alive
recent repairs and sunny weather has somewhat reduced my urge to get rid though...

My first 'real' car. 1990 320i Convertible in mint condition..
Brilliant engine, built like a tank and it sounded fab.
A truly great car and I still miss it.

The Focus was nice but if I'd kept it any longer I would've ended up spending even more money on it lol
