I'd be interested in one of these, does it do as it says on the tin? Remap the ECU in one click? :)

Basically yes. Plug it in, press a button and you get a remap. Press the button again and you go back to standard. Currently AmD have them for BMW diesel and VAG group. I'm testing one for Vauxhall engines but it wont be ready until Feb. You can either mail order one or still have the RR custom map and simply have it stored on your own oneclick unit.

Sorry if I'm being thick but once you have had a remap why would you switch back to standard. Interested as I'm planning a Amd remap in the spring.

Taking it back to a dealer? Lending it to mate? Letting partner drive it :P ? Bottom line its simply an easier, simpler way of installing it and any map AmD can be installed onto oneclick at later date so whatever happens it makes no diff if you plan to go to AmD, but does make a bearing if you want to go somewhere else cos only AmD do it :P (cos they invesnted it)

Well I can think of a reason.... My insurance company want an additional £900 for a >10% increase in power + another £700 excess on top of £4500! Sounds like heaven to me ;)

This OneClick thing sounds just the job for me. In the summer, with Tyres warm, 200Bhp was easy to handle. An increase at this time of year would be great, as it would when we get one of those sharp Spring/Autumn days. For the dreary crap we have this morning, 240Bhp/240lbft is too much - you couldn't put it all down in prolly 3 of the 5 forward gears. So you might just as well drop it to 200Bhp. Well, that would be what I would like to use it for anyway. I'd be interested in hearing what AmD would charge over and above the cost of the remap for the OneClick facility? Does anyone know the approximate cost? Mad

Out of curiosity is it possible to borrow your mates for the day or even hire a remap for a trackday day or something. :D Wicked idea!

You could definitely borrow a mates if he/she didn't mind running the standard map for a day. Although it would have to be a one size fits all set-up. It’s a brilliant way to trial a remap before you commit. It takes 2 minutes to upload, so you could do it at trackside. It’s a shame Scott can’t bring one on Saturday; I’m sure it would generate a lot of new business. I’m definitely going to have my custom map saved onto a one-click when they become available. I love the idea of knocking the power back if the weather gets really shitty.

Sorry, the OneClick unit is locked to the car when its first attached - so no sharing :poke: Scott is going to bring one along but the Vauxhall one wont be ready until the new year, and as I said any reamp done on the VX is done via serial port so makes no difference.
