Ha!! I noticed a yellow VX down to a guy called Simon of MK :P - 3rd is a bit near NY for me and saving £40 is a useful little bit of cash ;)

Put your name down for the 10th, you can then hedge your bets until you have to pay.... :)

Just noticed Partridge is already down :D :D

Checked SELOC yesterday for the first time in a fortnight. Put my name down ages ago when there was a substantial reserve list. Now, all my mates appeared to have pulled out and I am in. I am going to subscribe to SELOC to gain advance notification of events, as the price is allways good. I doubt I will make in onto the Bedford day, but there are still spaces for Brands. Too much for January!!! I am tempted to join RMA. The company is good with a good range of cars and no idiots. See you on the 10th Cheeky. I will place myself in the intermediate group for SELOC. Andrew

I was at elvington last month with easytrack. There were about 30 elises there but they spent most of the time stood around admiring each others cars  The general standard of driving was pretty pants - definatly a beginners course. A porsche 933 and elise took each other out big style. The elise was a real mess. :( Its a nice layout with loads of run off but they the courses layed out are not that big and the concrete surface eats your tyres. So in summary I would not travel a huge distance to this track but it is a great place to learn just beware of dodgy elise "drivers" poof

A few guys i know who have been round it say it is great fun but there are a lot of biggish stones on the track so you end up with a lot of stone chips :(

Right, money sent. This will be my third SELOC day and I have seen nothing other than curteous driving. As for the other VXT Cheeky, I log on for a non-techy mate to book the track days for him. He has a Griffith and I am at a loss to understand how VXT appeared next to his name, or how he is much further up the list than me!! However, he is unlikely to make it so that is one more space. There are many who have not paid so all the reserves should get in. As for Bedford, I have joined the RMA circuit club at the SELOC discounted rate (£50). According to the RMA site, the 31st is still available - cost £99 to circuit club members. I cannot sign up on line as I await membership details. I called the RMA last Friday and they have closed down until the 5th Jan. Why can't I run a track day company????? Andrew

Come on people - one of the seloc organisers posted that there will be plenty of space even though there is a reserve list at the moment (loads of non payers) rally

cheeky and streetboy, do you have insurance for track days as i'm slightly concerned since the Hethel incident. I got quoted £800 for the day for Elvington. I only pay £600 for the whole year. I might risk it again and then find a company that allows you to go on trackdays when my insurance is up for renewl

See above - CalipsoElise the organiser recons there will be loads of space, and the site says 30 people havent paid yet

Wicky - None of us are insured  . Its a massive airfield though and safer than Hethel - no ditches, tyres walls, armco etc. No one can guarentee what will happen and obviously there are loads of cars charging around. Its a risk, but i think an educated one we all take.... If someone drives like a knob, you let them past and get on with it.

Right, need to organise accom....
