Hopefully I will have the full stage 3 from AMD for this, correction i will have it. As you are probably aware Paulbs car went kaput so work couldn't commence on his, so i stepped in. hoping for about 185bhp, but will have to wait and see. I wonder does this 2.2 mile circuit still include that bloody 1km straight. If any of you elise drivers read this and would like to meet up on the M1 en-route would be cool. Ian

I'm thinking of coming down to spectate and maybe passenger in a few cars. I will be coming down the M1 but don't know if Louise is wanting a lie in. If not i'll meet you either on the M1 or at the track.

On previous track days at Bedford, spectator access has varied. On some occasions spectators were allowed in the pit lane, free (though they had to get an arm band), on other occasions they had to pay as either a spectator or 2nd driver, finally I have seen occasions where they have only let 2nd drivers in the pit lane. Mught be worth calling before you come to see what system is operating this time. If you have to be with somebody registered for the event, I am sure that one of us can oblige. Chris

Which is the 2.2 mile circuit they are looking to use on the 14th? I take it the corner in question which is being modified is the bottom right one with the gravel trap and barriers and is the start of the long straight too.

Looked on the SELOC forum. See attached for circuit layout. No long straight I'm afraid....but still looks good especially with only 75 cars attending, obviously not all on track at the same time.

I am a little worried by the noise restrictions but I think we'll be ok.
Will just have to see what happens I spose.

All we need to do now is pray for dry weather!

It is going to be limited to only 75 cars, so Foxy I'm afraid you will have to miss this one out. As for the circuit, it is SUPPOSED to be back to 3.6 miles for the 14th. Keep everything crossed. Thats for the noise aswell!!

I keep reminding myself that there was a lot of modded stuff when I went on the redline day in november..a very quick focus, pergout (thats not right is it?) radical, JP jag and so on.....surely the Vauxhall SE is any not louder than some of those?

There was some very loud cars out (minime included), but for some strange reason they black flagged my bog standard, whisper quiet NA....go figure!

Whoever done this on SELOC has got it wrong, I think. The green line is part of the track not the pits.

It is a part of the North circuit, but there is also an area there that could be used for the pits. Chris

Routes to the hostility area used on the Vauxhall day, with the Yellow VXT by the coffee machine.

I will be in Bedford on the evening of Friday the 13th (that would make a good film title!) staying at the Bedford Moat House (not a great hotel, but at 30 quid a night what the hell). I am going to get to the Autodrome at about 7.45 as the queues to get in can be long. See you all there!

Any idea if spectators are allowed at Bedford? Supposed to be testing driving a Clio in Beford on Saturday, so I could pop in and say hi for half an hour...

'Hostility area' the place where Lotus and Vauxhall owners get together to argue it out!!
Or maybe it's just a innocent hospitality area for tea and coffee :P :poke:

Just read on SELOC that second drivers are allowed for £20 payable on the day. No news on passengers though. I'd like to come and watch and maybe have a passenger lap or two if someone would be so kind. D'you rekon I could blag my way in and pay the £20 when I'm there? In my experience, just having the right car seems to be enough to get you in to the circuit. Then all you have to do is get a wristband either by having your name on the list or by buying a passenger place. I do remember Palmersport being quite specific on having no spectators for the Vauxhall day though?

Ben, are you coming from far? I shall be in Bedford on Saturday anyway so I might just try and pop past and see what they say. Might be worth ringing them on Saturday morning...
