Yesterday i got Sachs fitted to my VX N/A. Why did i get them? Because of my deteriorating OEM dampers it was something i knew i had to do, i thought about fitting a new set of OEM, but didn't want to spend loads on something that will only get worse and offers no improvement. I thought about getting the Exige suspension but ultimately it's not designed for the car and it raises it by 15mm, no thanks! Lastly i considered bankrupting myself for some Nitrons, but then the car might not get on the track so it wasn't worth having something so stiff for the road. I'm pleased to say i definitely made the right decision!! First of all, the car looks ace sitting about 50mm lower. The chav in me hates arch gaps, but now the stance is so aggressive with the arches sitting over the tyres! The only annoying thing is that the wheels look a bit wimpy now. I guess you'd think the ride would be worse thanks to the belly scraping stance, but no. The low speed ride is actually BETTER than OEM. It rides speed bumps without a problem too. I did smack the front on the floor when going too fast down a steep hill though, so i need to be careful there! The only time the ride gets worse is at high speed, you get a 'patter' where you can feel everything going on underneath you. Not a serious problem, with the radio on you don't notice it. How's it handle? Well, hard to say as i've only done 100 miles so far, but turn in is very crisp. You probably think a standard VX has scalpel sharp steering but this is another level again. Lovely :) It was quite wet yesterday, but will hopefully get some mileage done at the weekend and give a better assessment of what it drives like thumbsup P.S Replaced the granddad Miltek system with the VSE at the same time. What a revelation! So much nicer, and not as boomy or loud as people had led me to believe. I might even make it louder!

TTIUWP=This Thread Is Useless Without Pictures thumbsup

I don't go on CS.net anymore; I'm far too pompous for that :P

Is the steel stainless? Or will they go all Spax on you?

I have avoided looking at my shocks for fear of what I may see  Maybe its best I had a look now

the price appears to be FIXED (which im sure is illegal!) as plans sell it for £650 + vat (i think) as do the people that supply them (and TMS).. I tried to find a cheaper supplier but no one was playing ball, bar a 5% discount from the supplier for 5 sets which makes it not worth it. unless someone wants to try a cash no recipt deal (that would rock!)
