Is looking good there, not sure on the filler idea, I got some glass re enforced plastic padding, used that as a filler. Once set is a dark green colour but that wont have much difference once it is all trimmed.

Is that the stuff they sell in the 'tins' in Halfords etc (ie like a short paint tin type thing  )

:)

Nice box, but did you think of the (ultrasonic/radar) alarm detector which is behind the recess in that panel?? That angled part in the middle of your new box...

That's part of the reason I didn't take the wood fascia outside the 'cubby hole/parcel shelf' area, the wood face has been cut around the protrusion - the part of the box in front of the alarm I have made solely from fibreglass and left relatively thin (about 3mm) - tho of course I've had to put the speaker spacer ring on now too

If I have to, I'll turn up the sensitivity, but don't really want to go down that route as I couldn't get the shelf out at all when I tried a few months ago (seemed to be stuck in place  ) so it would be a right PITA getting to it (and I wouldn't want to risk making it too sensitive so it goes off if I leave the roof off (it's already a bit over-sensitive))

:)

All seems to be air tight - tested on the midi system
I gave up on the idea of using the post type cable points, and just ran the cable through the front of the box (cuts down on noise causing connections :)

i really wouldnt bother, had no effect on mine thumbsup

no effect on mine either ;)

Cool, good to know I won't have to strip the back end of the car thumbsup

I really can't believe how good it sounds - I'd at least expected to have to wait to 'break it in' a bit

This is the amp I bought didn't look at the specs as I know the guy in the shop so just followed his advice!
It's set at two thirds volume for each channel at the moment, and I cant turn it up to full on the head unit - great little amp (especially for the price)
