Maybe it just needs reproofing? Auto Glym do a kit.

Halfords have them. Will just be called a soft top cleaning/water proofing kit. I paid about 20 quid for mine and it was well worth it.

I have a black soft top for sale thats in really good condition! Like new, no mildew lines in the water run offs or bird crap marks. And its been auto glym pre treated by the bloke i bought it off.
