i might wronge but as far as i knew yes they all use a super chip base map according to the stage you want they use the dyno to fine tune it ie: afr boost and ignition advance knock,& so on,because its a standard ecu the software is completly diffrent to a after market type say a apexi or emerald

thats the point im getting at...

as far as im aware, they use a superchips map that they load on and dont tweak it themselves as its only superchips who can modify it?

standalone ecu's have their own software they use usually.

its rocket science when it comes to mapping a tuned turbo car properly..

Thanks for the insight, it has definitely opened my eyes a little bit as far as the vx tuning scene stands!! and thanks for taking the time to explaining some of it in more detail! ------- I'm not going to ask anyone to name a company as that i'm sure it may cause issues or arguments!! And not going to ask who is or is not worth going to!! But is there actually any real difference between the different companies? would prefer technical fact rather than opinion if possible, don't want this to be an excuse to have a go. I.E. does one map offer better protection or more torque safely and linear than the other? I'M NOT ASKING TO NAME NAMES, JUST IS THERE? ------- *****If i'm opening a can of worms please don't respond and mods feel free to edit the above out of my post!!

havent seen many EDS/regal results on the VX220 but the astra z20let they seem to get VERY high peak torque values that drop off quite quick. must be bonkers in a FWD car! most courtenay ones ive seen seem like a flat torque curve. your prob best not asking on here as the place is owned by one of the companies. pay your money and take your choice really. to be fair the VX 'tuning' scene is practically non existent in this country.. once VXR36 is finally finishe dim sure it will be a good one though.

well all i can add is that i have been tunning and messing around with cars for years and i know loads of tuners mainly jap ones ie abbeymotor sport gt-art rk tunning just to name a few and none of them can gain access to a factory ecu let alone map it,and as no one makes a remappable plug & play ecu for the vx superchips is good enough for me
