That is an intersting piece of kit. How easy is it to install?

Very, it just connects to the OBD port in the passenger foot well :)

The hardest bit is finding somewhere/somehow to mout it perminantly :)

The 2.2 doesn't have an oil temperature sensor, so no signal available in the ECU. BTW, mounting it in the car isn't that big of a problem. If you look at the way I did it, you basically only need a piece of aluminium and a jigsaw.. So are there any other specific bits of information people are looking for on the scangauge? Only for 2.2, it's the only ECU I can test on.. Mark

My throttle position reading starts at 18% even when it is idling around 800rpm. Does anybody else have a similar reading or is it a sign of a bad sensor maybe?

I would have thought that throttle position was necessary to hold the idle?

My TPS is around 7-8% on idle with a warm engine. This is on a 2.2, is yours a 2.2 too?

If you have a bad sensor I would suspect some other issue's.. Made any changes to your TB?

Oh, forgot, what is the reading on the FTC (Fuel trim cell) when your engine is idling? Is it still in 19? Mark

Wasn't Van Aaken was it? They don't seem to exist any more. Wasn't there a group buy some time ago?

I ordered mine from scanguage in the US I think it cost £110.00 - £120.00 after I got the customs bill :angry2: but exchange rates were more favorable then. I have now got mine mounted in the drivers side plastic sill trim (I cut a hole just below the little useless storage hole thing), it looks much better there than stuck under the dash. Got mine crammed in the hole itself.

These fellas have them at £131 delivered ... but whilst looking I stumbled across the DashHAWK which doesn't fit in as well with the VX's looks, but does do 0-60 times and other stuff .... anyone tried one ?

Depends on what car you have. It definitely doesn't work with the 2.2 and I'm not sure that it works with the 2.0 turbo. Or, more accurately, doesn't work with the ECU's. Check with Courtenays, as they do/did sell them.

From Courtenay's website:-

Applications:

Will work with many cars with a canbus enabled OBDII port such as Corsa VXR, Astra H CDTi, Astra VXR (All). Models being added all the time.

Needs to be a CAN enabled car which neither VX220 variant is. :(

Thanks for that, it narrows down the choices  anyone else fancy one ?

I'm contemplating asking for a group discount, has anyone dealt with them before ? www.ukobd.co.uk

Thanks,
Roy

Just heard back from Gareth at www.ukobd.co.uk and the way they work it is ...

Roy,

We issue a discount code the one of the moderators, who then issues it to legit members on request. It can be then used as part of our checkout process.

Discount is 10%, and we need a min. of 10 purchasers to make this viable. This avoid any group buy issues, and delivery, etc.

Regards,

Gareth

So it'll be about £120 .... any mods fancy dropping him an email enquiries@ukobd.co.uk to get formal details ?

Thanks :D
Roy

Should I start a list ? Never started a list on here before :o Ohhhh another bout of giddy :P
