From what I've read, that's not far enough.

Where is it, and what time of year??
Seems the weather seriously hamperred last years, so why not have it earlier in the year, so we get some good weather?
Also where?? Alot of people suggested a more newbie friendly location this year?

Snetterton is a great circuit, loads of run off and good catering ....
Yes but its miles from anywhere and I hate driving

I loved Snetterton, fast track plenty of room, no noise limit, ideal for beginers and experienced too.

Or more seriously, Bedford Autodrome. Could use a couple of the circuits at the same time.
Lots of run off and not many gravel traps!
If it's Bedford, mid/late summer, Saturday/Sunday and exclusive to us, it'll cost an absolute fortune if there are even any free dates left. That will probably apply to any of the major central circuits as well, unfortunately.

Sure, the weather at Rockingham could have been nicer to us but, I thought that it was an excellent track and hope to be back again at some point this year.

New Anglsey looks great
Yeah, it looks awesome!!
Linkage
Thing is the diary there looks pretty full!!
Think we better get a move on if we are to get it sorted.
I'll give them a ring tomorrow, just to see if they could accomodate us.
A ball park figure... What are the numbers usually like for the Nationals??

p.s. coastal configuration
edit: also, there are no gravel traps, just lots of run off. You will find it very difficult to leave the track, even if you wanted to!
But if you do, you might carry on spinning straight off the cliffs and into the Irish sea!

Would love to do a day on the coastal circuit at some point this year but for some reason, LoT don't seem to run anything there as yet.

my vote would be snetterton!
think this calls for a forum poll?!
Ok, but availability might play just as large a factor as which track is available.
Should we not decide when we want it, and try and find a site to accomodate??
I say early August?

It might be worth opening discussions with LoT again, as it will probably need to be done under the auspices of a recognised Track Day Organiser (and I think we're still on friendly terms with them after Rockingham). LoT would be handy as they seem to get decent rates at tracks and we can use their payment facilites again. August would be great but would probably be the most expensive time of year. Might be better trying for mid to late September when the weather is still decent but holiday season is mostly over.
As for tracks, I'm game for most places but wasn't Snetterton poo-pooed last year as being too far away/too hard to get to for lots of people and a more central circuit demanded? Somewhere on the M1/M6 corridor is probably easier for most to get to - excepting our friends in Scotland, who are going to find it a pain in the arse to get to anywhere in the Midlands.

I'm also very easy on where the day is held and unlike some I'm happy to drive the car a bit to get there. As long as there's a place to stay with safe parking the night before and a burger van on the day.

What I tend to forget is that not everyone wants to track (never worked that out meself!
