I'm guessing they would do about a 14.6

bear in mind a stripped nova with an old tired XE will do mid 14s all day long (but then they dont eat engine mounts and clutches lol), then a Vx should put in similar times although the 60foot time will be dire if you granny start to save the clutch and mounts

Rustle. Rustle.

That's the noise of me putting my flame suit on.....

Bear in mind I was only dicking around whilst doing some ECU data logging via the OBDII port and it was the first time I've ever tried a full bore start in this car (or any other car for that matter). Likewise, I was only really trying the 0-60 functionality, so may well have been backing off before the 1/4 mile came up.

Undoubtedly, with somebody experienced and not giving a sh!t about the car, it could be done quicker.

Told you I had a bit of burning clutch smell after that logging session.

Still didn't get any wheelspin out of the car. So, I'm not actually sure it's possible to spin the wheels in a straight line, with warm R888's in the dry. Still can't see the value of those times/speeds in the real world as it was just a bit of fun (followed rapidly by a WTF am I doing kind of feeling).

14.3 is impressive considering the power its running.

techieboy - what modifications did it have to do a 14.1?

I've got no experience of 1/4 miles times to benchmark those numbers against. Instinctively, they "sound" slow to me but felt pretty quick and frantic at the time. Am obviously glad they're believable and not too shabby for a 61,000 miler.

Currently it's just the "standard" TMS Stage II+. The dyno charts on the TMS site for their Stage II+ are from my car, so only 156.5bhp. Lots more changes to happen over the coming weeks so hoping for 185bhp+, which will hopefully make the car all it should have been from the factory.

Just goes to prove how important power to weight ratios are. My daily driver Audi A4 quattro puts out 287bhp and wouldn't get anywhere near the VX in the standing start (or cornering) stakes. But it weighs almost exactly twice as much and the quattro robs 25% of the wheel horse power.

Old Skool tuning goodies.

2.4 inlet manifold
2.0SC throttle body or ported/polished standard throttle body (whichever works best)
2.0SC Injectors
Ported/Polished big valve cylinder head
Higher lift cams
Exhaust manifold to suit (not sure whether this will be a 2bular or TMS one currently)
Remap to suit

Got everything bar the exhaust manifold and remap, just need to find some trustworthy enough to fit it all now. Then that's it. No more money being poured into this project. ;)
